Election 2026

Election day is Monday, October 26, 2026. Voting is open until 8 PM on Monday, October 26 — online or by telephone. See the homepage for dates and Voter Assistance Centres. Our candidate meetings are complete; here is who is running and where to watch the meetings.

Thank you

Three meetings, one engaged community

Our sincere thanks to every resident who came out, tuned in on Zoom, or sent a question; to every candidate who took part and gave the community a real chance to hear from them; and to York Bell-Smith for his fair, steady and excellent moderation of all three evenings.

The AHRPA Steering Committee now looks forward to formalizing as the Alnwick–Haldimand Ratepayers Association, and to working with the incoming Council on a new way for residents and municipal government to work together.
